In The Beginning, There Was Social Networking
Well, maybe not in the way beginning. But over a century ago, long before the rise of the digital social networks, social network analysis emerged as a key technique in the studies of modern sociology, anthropology, sociolinguistics, geography, social psychology, communication studies, information science, organizational studies, economics, and biology.
